Wednesday was a trip up to see Petcul and a spin around England's North Pennines, which are Weardale/Northumbria and Teesdale

The roads have everything, hairpins to equal the Alps, fast sweepers and most are at altitude of between 700ft-1400t

Some of England's truly unspoilt countryside, the roads were empty and the sun was in the sky............what's not to like on this 170 mile odyssey

Today was the turn of the Howardian Hills, around Castle Howard

Fritz wanted to show me some new lanes and trails, so we got work finished up by 11am and we were off...................

So, the XCountry was pressed into service and very well it performed

A few steady lanes, up across a meadow of dairy cows with a deserted farm in the background

You have to be posh to have a stainless steel sculpture of Pegasus, in your garden:D

So.................3 days great weather, 3 days of great roads, 3 days of varied terrain

400 miles travelled, every one a gem and in reality.................all a stone's throw from home

I fail to comprehend anyone who says the riding in the North of England, fails to deliver..................it certainly did this week:thumb

Rain tomorrow, so work to do for a change:JB

More comfy, for a start Stuart

It's a fine handling bike and is more manageable

I'll fit some TKC's and it'll be no worse than the XChallenge

So far it's miles better on the road and not far behind offroad

Gearing needs dropping, that's about it

Riding in the north of England?

The North, the West and the East Ridings of Yorkshire :thumby:

The three Ridings :)

Gods Own Country indeed ....

You're going to have to work sometime. Probably over the next few rainy days. Great place to live and in weather like the last few days you wouldn't want to be anywhere else.:aidan

Nice work JB
I have been off all week and some great rides around Yorkshire
You are lucky living there, still it's only about 45 miles from Frisky Towers :-)
