Hello, fellow riders, my wife and I both own F650twin since jan. (one red, one blue) this year, performed flawlessly so far, a joy to ride, rode/camped 3 weeks yorkshire/lake district area, great fun, fabulous roads. Replaced chains though to tsubaki's for safety reasons (thank you forum!). Last weekend we were doing a 1500km trip 4 days Belgium & Luxemburg, in a group of 20 bikes, exhilarating! Could keep up with the big guys no problem. Riding home suddenly after a stop my ABS diagnostic lamp kept on flickering, so this weekend went to dealer for check-up. And on my way there the ABS worked fine.... Dealer's computer also showed nothing, BUT when home, I gave the bike a wash&clean, and noticed a bee stuck in the ABS rotor, covering up two of the rectangular holes, am sure this was the cause of ABS failure. thought to pass this on, never know if it ever comes in handy....... hans. enjoy your ride!!

Hey Curious...

Weird but feasible.. hope it cured the problem!

I was in Belgium last weekend too - camped just 3km from Spa circuit, had a fantastic couple of days riding in the area.. I couldn't believe €1.03/L for fuel in Luxembourg! No wonder I saw a few French vans with 400L bulk-tanks in the back!!

Cheers

Greg

Well i'll bee damned.

Bees are well known for their magnetic properties....................

I have had a similar problem. Was in the mud the 2 days ago, spinning the carp tyres a lot. Notice the ABS light flashing right after lots of mud and spinning. Just assumed that their was mud on the ABS ring (know a little about how ABS works).
With in a minute the mud had must cleared and the ABS was fine.
