I'm not too bright at electricals (pardon the pun) but have a basic knowledge.
Any chance of a pic showing how you have done the connections behind the reflector?

I did the mod, i just made up a mini harness, using crimp connectors, so i didnt cut the origonal connections, though you could just scotchlock the connections, its not good or proper, but it would work

Sorry jonesai, no picture. I just took the whole light assembly off, two screws, you can see them in one of the previous pics, twisted the relevant wires together and poked each set through the little holes (see pic below) in the male spade connectors (on the back of the light assembly) before pushing the female connectors (from the loom) back on over the wires
