Getting a Triumph 800 XC, after taking it for a ride there was no turning back, will it be safe to still post here, the K1200r & the R1150gs are part funding the new scoot

Ill get my coat now :hide

There was one of those pretend triumphs broken down waiting for a nice man in a yellow van to collect him, on the side of the A41 a couple of weeks ago.

Mind you, it was six days old, so you're bound to have some problems:hide

Only 6 days old :-) glad I have AA cover, anyway I have the Harley for when the Triumph gives up the ghost Vern

BMW's never break down!! well rarely, 55,000k on the K1200r since 07 and only let me down once or twice, sidestand switch failed, clutch gave up the ghost, cam chain & sprockets were goosed, must say it was one of the best bikes I ever had, servicing costs were the one big turn off, how anybody justifies charging 100€ an hour++ eludes me

Ive this for that Jimmy

43-46 MPG in towm 53MPG on a run, fuel light comes on to soon.

Does not use oil, well none in 5300 miles.

Nothing gone wrong, touching wood as I type.

Sure is and a beautiful place it is also, definitely going back

Got the 800 XC today, fitted the GPS and headed to west Cork for a trip after first having tae at Jimmy's

Folks, I must admit, I sold my 1200 GSA last Summer, tried a 955i Tiger in Ginger for a bit but was worried I had lost my biking mojo after 15 years of constant biking.

Picked up my new baby last week and have re-discovered the joys of biking. She's not a Triumph (although I must admit.... I almost did buy one)....

Hope, like Bogman, I still have a place on this forum..... but I reckon she looks as good as any other bike around :aidan

i must admit i am tempted with triumph myself. not gone on the 2 big headlights, prefer beemer style but rest bike is real nice. lad in work has one and loves it

i think your mans is the best colour, white

The Triumph looks great, had a chance to see one up close recently. Probably looks slightly better than the F800 GS, but they do look very similar in the flesh. It occurs to me that if the F800 GS wasn't a beemer, more beemer riders would be interested in it, but the 800 XC oil dripper has some new cachet :D
