Managed to sneak a bit of a bimble into a trip home to see the mammy this weekend :D
Went up Barnesmore and got some beautiful views. Real clear winters morning, freezing cold, but watery sun making everything look idilic.

Great pics - looks like fun! Are the start points of those tracks found on the main road or off the side roads?

There's several coillte tracks into the mountain from a side road just north of the gap. We just found one that had an open gate. There was even Coillte signs saying people were welcome to use the tracks (didnt say specifically on bikes mind:P)

Nobody ever calls tey see if i would be allowed out to play !

That looks fun Orlaith & Eoghain

A good friend of mine just bought a farm down that way , beside the
Castle , he has made a few tracks up the hill , and reckons it would be ideal
for a bike . I am looking forward to a spin down that way.

Great pics Orla looks really nice up there.Where's the rooster photo of you in the back garden :D

How about a 2009 Ireland AdvRiders meeting, preferably 11th July 2009 onwards, not that I'm in Ireland up to the 10th with work or anything :augie

Dr Rich, let us know closer to the time when you are over and we'll definately go on a few rideouts. The problem with having and official ADVriders meeting is the lack of official trails in Ireland. Its fine with small groups, but to invite over a big gang would be difficult to organise. Its a great shame as it would be lovely to have a session here like the one I attended in Wales last September - great fun.

That could be organised. :) How serious would the off-roading need to be, or would a mix of road and off-road stuff be more suitable?

How would mid-August 2009 suit?

Orla, are you coming to Ruthin in April?

Timpo.

If thats the 18th and 19th, then yes, its been pencilled in since you first mentioned it last Sept! Must get over and read the ADV site more :blast
