Popped in to the dealers to pay them and have a look at my bike before i collect it next week ( started out as sept delivery so im well chuffed) and noticed that the rear was shod with an Anakee 3 and the front had a Conti traila attack !!

Assembly line chaps not talking to each other then !!

Any way no dramas as Rainbow are going to put an Anakee 3 on the front ( I had a choice)

So now i am as giddy as a giddy thing ! Do i get a Gltterazi badge ?

Its a GSA and i have gone for the Anakee as i have never been a fan of Conti, I know its such a personal thing tyre choice and i may have boobed but the tyres should not affect the suspension that much and if it does then i think its a suspension issue.

The demo had anakee on it and it was fine so........


Any way it is a thing of beauty that is a joy to behold !! even though i have to wait for the paniers !!

Mine came with Anakee 3,s and they have been excellent . 6000 miles of twisties , 2000 two up ! Only trouble now is you can,t get the rear one , so having to go for Trail Attacks !!

Nice looking bike though, I took the normal GS WC out

Bloody hell JB why didn't you say sommat and yes it is a touch tall but I thought the old 1200 was till I got used to it and it's no worse for me than that was without the sargent low seat

Well I was originally told last week when I ordered that it would be first or second week in September then Ian dodged around a bit and allocated their on order new demo bike to me for 1st August then when I rang this morning to order a twat nav it was there so collect next Wednesday

Have you changed your tyres ? Has it made a difference ? Should I have had contis even though as a rule I prefer Michelin ?

I asked about the problem with some reporting harsh suspension when I ordered and was told that they have had a couple back in with concerns and they deal on a as and when basis and do a software thingy !!!

White is best & no, not with that clutch/gearbox - my toolbox has less irritating noises

Shame really as it rides well, but I fail to see a £14k + luggage price tag for a GS WC

Re your wheels, it sounds like the dealer may have swapped one over, could be that it was possibly damaged in transit, or while being PDI'd.

I find it hard to believe that the factory would fit different tyres, as when a bike is made, ALL bikes on the production line that day will have the same tyres fitted.
