Hi All

We are a motorcycle club in Belfast and we are at present planing a trip to the Alps , taking in Stelvio Pass ect, we are flying Dublin to Geneva on Sunday the 19th June and flying back into Dublin on Saturday 25th.

Our bikes are being transported to Geneva By two of our members(both HGV Class one Drivers) , using a hired truck so your bikes will be safe.

We have worked out we have room for 16 Bikes , up to now we have 10 people booked and have paid for the flights. This is an open invitation to anyone wishing to join us on the trip , all information is available from our club secretary [email protected]

Anyone wishing to join us from the mainland , bikes can be picked up by the truck on the route between Hollyhead and Dover.

Regards David

Hi All
Im Andy the secretary, here is some more info, on the 1st day we intend to ride from Geniva to Livigno (Italian Alps) and stay there as our base for 5nights, and do runs each day of about 250mile. Dave and Myself have stayed at the hotel before and it is giving us a very good rate for B+B and a packed lunch to take with us each day (to keep the costs down) see the link below for the hotel. Livigno attracted us for a number of reasons, it is TAX FREE so fuel is a fraction of the cost here in the UK and the location to alot of good Alpine passes.
I will post later today a breakdown of costs etc, then drop me an e,mail if your interested.

Here is a breakdown of the trip itinery inc costs etc.
Ship the bikes to the French side of Geneva airport. (Truck leaves on Thurs 16th June.)
Sun 19th June,Fly Dublin to Geneva (Aer Lingus).Ride from Geneva to Livigno (Italian Alps) 292miles.
Base ourselves in Livigno for 5 nights.
Ride a loop each day covering 2 or 3 different Alpine passes (250 - 300miles)
Fri 24th June Ride back to Geneva, load the bikes up, stay overnight just outside Geneva and fly back the next morning.
(anyone wanting to come along from the UK we can pick your bike up on the way through, just drop me an e,mail)

Fair comment.
Its the time off from work that has us doing it this way.
Riding would take 3 days there and 3 days back thats another week off work !

Love to but unfortunately I've booked into "World of BMW" from 8th to 14th and if I went on this I don't think I could go home again :blast

Sounds like good value to me, especially as I do not get holiday pay, although it still seems like your cheating!

Saying that if I did not already have this years trip sorted I would be more than a little tempted.

You may find tolls add up if you keep going out of Livigno via the tunnel.

I ride from co down to Austria and Germany last year and i can tell anyone this is the way to go when you have ride some of the pass the ride home is dull :thumb

im only new here and i have to say i love the fact that these trips are getting organised and are talking into the fact that not everyone can take so much time off work. i myself dont get holiday pay if i take time off outside the holiday dates the company sets(fecking building trade) I think trucking out the bikes is a great idea, it maximises the time you have off to enjoy the trip. im getting married on easter monday so all my funds are going that way so maybe next time il get to tag along! :thumb2

Opps sorry guys it was a typo error .
Jockster i got your e,mail and replyed , See you in June mate :thumb2

Would love to - sounds great. However, being a teacher, my hols are totally inflexible and the Head would have a fit if I asked. Enjoy the ride lads!
