Hella Micro DE Premium Edition HID:

or

Anyone any idea where I can get these:)

Not wishing to sound like I am having a pop at you, but lets get this right.....you spend, how much on your new 1200GSA?

Then penny pinch but adding four sets of Halfrauds finest lights, that come to £26 in total. :nenau

Now I am no gambling man, but I am prepared to bet that they will fail due to water ingress before the year is out!

Then you go on to say that "the Hella and PIAA stuff look great but hey at 5 times the cost"....errrr, like the BMW isnt grossly over priced.

Plus, I would suggest that you remove that 100w bulb, unless you add a additional earth cable to it. :thumb

Too be fair, the problem with the GSA is finding a decent light bar. The lights on Sycomoto's bike are really bright and have cost naff all. The Main beam wiring has all been upgraded and there is an HID kit in there to boot.
I offered to get the Hella MicroDe's for him at £57 or a set of FF50's for £33 but he went for the cheapies cause they are really small.
I have the Hellas on my bike and I agree they are quality kit, but I am astounded at the light output that these cheapy lights put out for something so small.
Each to their own fella, if he's happy then no worries. Not everybody wants to pay nearly £300 to upgrade their lights, no matter how good the job is.:thumb2

hey i'm a tight arse.

btrb, chap I just can't justify another £300 on bmw bits, the lights are brill for what they are, cheap as chips and if one gets busted following dirtydog at speed down firebreaks im not gonna cry. With what i saved it's paid for syco jnr to have a quadbike for his 3rd birthday and in my book thats worth everything.
yes it might seem like a cop out but i'm not arsed and not everyone wants to follow the crowd, i've spent my life doing things different to everyone else so why change now.
your only here once and half the fun is sorting out your own fuckups as it makes life a little more fun.:beerjug:

I totally agree, yes indeed the Ring lights are indeed very bright. But how long they last is another question?

As you say each to there own.

Why buy a set of lights that have been proven to last the duration when you can buy some that have been proven to fall apart within twelve months :nenau

BTW, not to sure where you get that figure of £300 from either, unless you are including the lightbar and the switch?

In which case, even if you were fit them yourself you would still have to buy them.
