Hoping to get a 1150GS pretty soon and I was wondering which is the best version for 2 up touring, the standard or the adventure?

Thanks

The standard 1150 has seperate seats for rider-passenger and I reckon more comfortable than the ADV single seat, which is a bit of a plank unfortunately ;)

Would agree with Bryn.
Joanne insisted that the seat be sorted on our GSA before she would travel any distance on it.
I do believe you can purchase a pillion seat extension for the 1150gsa,not sure from where,or if indeed they are any improvement.

We did a few long (14 hour) days two up on an Adventure without issues, just would the preload up and went, a sheepskin does make a difference.

My wife tells me she prefers the back of the R1200R for comfort over the 1150 however we have not pushed it to any real distances yet.

the double seat :thumb2

on either a gs, or gsa

you wont go wrong with either, just remember the gsa is a bit taller and heavier.

My missus much prefers the twin seat set up, even though I added on the TT seat extender to the adventurer seat. Better shape for the pillion IMO. Also as there's a bit more of a step with the twin seats, she found it harder to nick my bit of the seat. :)
