Best gadget on a budget......

Take him to Asda and buy him some gas at £1.12.07 a litre and blow the rest on Pinot Grigio.:thumb2

Got him a puncture repair kit and a mini compressor. Should keep him happy. Thanks for all your suggestions and a happy Xmas to all you tossers :)

Thanks Bendy, will wait until you try them and post your findings.

Op, what about some sort of puncture repair kit, can be taken from bike to bike then. There is an american one, cant remember the name and not sure if its available here anywhere.
Just remembered it

That and an electric pump and sorted. Just found this on amazon so you seem to be able to get them ok.

Well actually yes they did ......

Someone else suggested a bottle of Puncturesafe then the repair kit will never see re light of day. Compressor is always handy :)

I've used a rudimentary kit and co2 canisters, was only safe up to 40mph and temporary at best. I'd like one of those stop n go kits n compressor. My wife and I ride together so it would be useful two fold, when on hols with others more times so.

Never sure those liquid jobbies, doesn't it bung up the tpms?

Slime etc fixes your tyres only. A stop 'n go kit plus compressor can also be used to fix other people's tyres if the need arises.

The Plod use Puncturesafe (new name for Wellseal) so that will do for me. I've used it with zero valve or TPS related problems. I filled the tyre with valve core removed then blew it though with the tyre pump before replacing the valve core, pumping up and riding the bike as instructed on the box. I later moved the TPS sensors to have the wheels powder coated and there was absolutely no sign of trouble.

I had one nail in the tyre, marked it and pulled it out. The goo did its job. The tyre fitter looked at the tyre and pronounced it fine with no need for a patch.

I would far rather have a tyre that self heals than one that goes flat and leaves me faffling with temporary rubber strips and tyre pump in the dark on a hard shoulder in January.
