Has anyone tried the DE projector headlights?
Can you buy Xenon headlights for the 1100?
Any info much appreciated :thumb

me too:( i cracked mine too... it happened while doing the watery bits in Donegal i think the plastic lens didn't like the shock of being hit with freezing cold water:D

I am considering trying to change mine for a pair of high/dip spot lights (if such a thing exists), sort of like the bates lights they use on streetfighter's but more in keeping with the GS theme. Just got to find a suitable dipping spot light and do some measuring.

Thanks Mike. Still got the original headlight, but would like some thing a bit brighter:thumb

Tuned - cracked both of mine riding through flooded roads. Cold water on the twin headlights doesnt do them any good:(

Nasty - post a pic when you've done the mod:thumb

I hve got the Desierto I Conversion, which sports the DE-Headlights.
Looks good, but no major improvement IMO.
Its Ok for me as up here the midnight sun is up during bike season anyway.

I had a high wattage (80/120) h4 in my standard 1100 headlight unit until the dip blew:blast
now the proud owner of a standard wattage but white light h4 from motorworks, which throws a blue sort of light and seems/feels better than before
PLUS
a 20w LED type sidelight...which I now use as a running light!:thumb2

the lights are, of course, crap compared to the majority of modern era motorbikes....so a supllementary set of halogens on a migsel bar helps me to see the hedge just before hitting it!:augie

I've had a Wonderlick headlight on the bike for a couple of years, I think it may be a different unit from the touratit unit in that the headlight surround is made from carbon fibre and the lenses are glass or appear to be made from glass. I have standard H bulbs fitted 2x55 watt bulbs.
