Fitted a Wunderlich screen extension on my GSA yesterday, I can't believe how much difference it's made.
SOme of you will have seen my other post moaning about wind noise caused by the standard GSA screen, and with adjusting the screen it was a trade off between buffeting or noise. Well I took the plunge and ordered the Wunderlich extension, and I'm so glad I did. I chose this one over the Touratech one as you can adjust the WUnderlich one, being able to alter height as well as tilt.
I found myself being able to ride at 50mph with my visor open with very little noise. Also at 75mph I could still hear the engine and exhaust noise. Being 6'4" I've never had that on any bike, the wind noise has always over-powered the engine/exhaust. It still doesn't stop the buffeting when travelling behind vehicles on the motorway, but for everything else it's great. It has made riding so less fatiguing :thumb2
No they're not cheap, but for the benefits they're so worth the money :bounce1

Pah! you're growing old before your time Snerkler. You'll be towing a caravan behind yer scooby next ......

I've always been old before my time :augie
However, the noise from the GSA screen was OTT and caused journeys to be tiring and unpleasant, way more noise than any other bike I've ridden. Now I'm travelling in bliss :thumb2

Ear plugs are cheaper than the Nippy screen thing! Though they can be unpleasent if you put them up your nose!:augie

Never tried that to be honest, grew out of that when I was 2 :augie ;)

If you've read my other posts you would know that I've always worn ear plugs, but the noise was still too loud. And before it gets mentioned I wear a good helmet imo, AGV Ti-Tech

pics, pics, pics please

Did anybody try Hornig GSA lookalike screen.
As I understood it is bigger than original GSA.

Thinking of a screen extender myself for longer trips involving motorway stuff

Does the Wunderlich one lock onto the bike to stop it getting stolen when its unattended like the Touratwat one does?

No, afraid not. Although it does need a screw driver to remove it, rather than just being able to unclip it. I've thread locked mine also (as recommended), not that it will make much difference as far a nickability goes :(

Touratech do a lockable one as well now, but for an extra £20 (£102 in total I think ). The reason I didn't go for this was like I said before, you can't adjust it.

Here's some pictures of mine fitted. Not the best pictures, sorry. Have tried to show the 2 hex screws which allow you to adjust it in almost infinite ways. In the pictures it's set to almost full height, but I'm still playing about with it at the moment. Even in the lowest setting it makes a huge difference.
Just for info, I'm 6'4" and ride the bike with the seat in the high position.

I purchased a TT screen extender, lockable one, just after getting the bike,18 months ago . No more buffering, the turbalance disappears.
The only downside is when it is hot you so somethings miss the cool air in your face.
Solved all my buffering issues in a flash though.

That's the beauty of this one, you can angle it so the airflow goes onto you face should you wish to :thumb2
