I'm looking to fit ali luggage to a 2010 1200GSA in preparation for a 5 month tour later this year. Anybody got any advice or good/bad experiences with cases on the 1200? They need to be tough enough to survive a few knocks as I'll be travelling off-road for several thousand miles, and am likely to lie the bike down a few times without troubling the side stand. Also they shouldn't impede a pillions comfort (any more than the 1150GSA boxes:augie). Anyone tried fitting a set of the 1150 ali luggage to a 1200?

(If anyones got a set of used brackets and cases they're not using I'd consider taking them off your hands:thumb2).

Cheers, Spanner

I've got the OEM panniers for free, usual promotion in the second half of the year. Can't fault them at this price :augie

Went with Vern's Worldbeaters

Thanks for your thoughts guys. After a look at whats about I plumped for a set of Verns Worldeaters - a great piece of kit:beerjug:.

I'll be touring some 23,000 miles during the second half of the year and it's good to know there's now one thing on the 1200 that won't give problems.
Not any that can't be sorted with a hammer at least :augie

You won't be dissapointed. I've crashed a few time with Verns and they've saved the day:thumb
