Best Permit Camping Loch Lomond

That Loch Lomond road runs traffic night and day ,, there is little peace and quiet to be had around there :thumb2

We were using Lock Lomond during a weekday. I knew it would be rammed at the weekends. As it happens we used the Firkin Point B area. The whole firkin point area was empty and we had choices. We even bumped into the wardens who were more than happy for us to move the bikes down the footpath to have them next to our pitch.

All in all probably the best 4 pound I spent over the whole 10 day trip. And what an epic trip it was too. For anyone considering a road trip around Scotland I'd highly recommend it.

Sadly hoards of people spoil most places.

Still, I found most places to be very calm and distinctly lacking in the hoards department which made the trip all the more enjoyable.

Except that is when we stumbled across the 6 day trials which were based out of Fort William. That was slightly hectic but there were bikes. Many, many bikes so no real complaints there!

Nice Flickr album btw
