Hi all,

I have got myself a 2610 and have not used a touch screen before.

I am using a Quest at the moment which is mounted via a ram mount to the left side of the bike. This is fine but I do need to look slightly to the left when using it.

Was looking at the Migsel clock mount for an 1150 which would put it nicely in view but how is it with the touch screen operation mounted up there :nenau

Any tips / pointers before I buy would be great :thumb

I take it that would go on the crossbar.

Is that a powered mount from TT?

Means I will loose my squidgy thingy that goes there :(

The position above the clocks can be a bit of a stretch, but is the best compromise in my opinion.

What I would like to see is some sort of "podger" that fits on your left index finger to allow better selection of items on the touch screen.

You could always go for a ram-mount, on the LH bar which presents the 2610 over by the LH bar controls?

I have a ram mount on the left bar with a TT lockable mount, it puts the 2610 over the clutch master cylinder and is perfect for me. I can see the display easily but not be distracted by it and I can change things easily without a huge stretch.

Best location I think :thumb

Above the clutch hydraulic reservoir is where I have the Quest or 2610 fitted to my Boxer Cup Replika. I must admit - for ease of use, it is the best position, but for viewing it is less logical than above the instruments.

Not really, you can angle the Ram-arm back towards you if you need to.

Not on your finger but a solution.

It's from TT , and will sit on the left hand side or the cross bar , which leaves enough room to put a small Peli box to the right for your phone or Credit Card for those nasty toll roads when abroad , or in Tunned's case , you can fill them full of Carrr's Cheese Melts and ride at the back eaten them to yourself without anyone knowing about it  Until now :eek
They were for emergencies aswell :(
Never mind aye :mmmm

Burton.. You just wouldn’t let it lie! :D

Interesting, but I really fancy getting some 5mm diameter O-ring material and sticking a 10mm long piece of that to the tip of the glove index finger - round the tip a bit - and presto-hey! ;)

I tried a thimble-type thing with at tip like that stylus, but they are more directed towards PDAs than sat-navs.

The search continues............. :nenau

Hi Blues

Jon seems you have some suggestions, but with your existing kit and bits then to adapt, then its RAM-B-202 with a Garmin cradle kit, 010-10495-00 or swap GA15 for GA9 onto the diamond base, take out QPAC and add power lead, 010-10495-02. Add a shimbo RAP-319 if wanting to attach onto the cross bar.

The Migsel option, then short arm, RAM-B-201-A plus bits as mentioned in above para..

Thanks for your replys everyone.

It seems that for ease of use with your figer it's to the left where I have my Quest.

Ease of viewing above the clocks.

So somewhere in between the two it is :D

Ram man, I will prob pop in to see you when it arrives to discuss the options and if I can use some of the exsisting parts I have :thumb
