Best tyre

Stick with the original Tourances and don't believe the nonsense about Chinese manufacture. I have well over 100k on these tyres on various GSes and they perform brilliantly wet or dry. My one regret is I can't use them on my GSA LC.

Done untold miles on Tourance (originals) and never found the need to switch.

Same here, I get good mileage from them and usually get a pair for around 150 quid delivered, then 12 each to get them fitted, good in the dry, wet, motorway or mountain pass,

I liked PR3s and the Roadsmarts on now are also very good. Both are in a different league to Tourance originals and EXPs, don't know about the Next though, mate really likes his.

Had Anakee 3 on my LC and previous GSA, then went onto PR4 as my hearing got worse:shout, had Roadtec 01 fitted yesterday at 23526m

My PR4's, front gave me 14193 and rear 7240, one before that 6953 in case ones math's are rubbish........ So lets see what these do?

What mileage are others getting from their PR4's, and what do people think of the Roadtec 01?

If you want a really good road tyre Pirelli Angels.
Anklee 3 very good all round tyre, sorry i still cannot hear the mythical noise.
Tourance Next, good enough for knee down trackdays.

My Conti Trail Attack 2s now have a few hundred miles under them and feel great. The other day I had a little rear end slide exiting a traffic island, instinctive handlebar flick caught it and all was fine. Salty roads can be scary at times. I very much doubt the Conti TKC-70 (which is supposed to be better on wet roads) would have coped as well even when brand new.

As already mentioned there are no bad modern tyres ,try the old Avon speed master with the ribbed front on a greasy wet roundabout to know real fear 🤕

I fitted some Anakee Wilds a few thousand miles ago, And I'm truly impressed, Once run in ( 200 mile ) they feel great , I ride around Dartmoor a great deal which gets pretty shitty this time of the year.

Excellent news!

Metzeler have now decided to manufacture the ORIGINAL Tourance to fit the GS / A LC. :)

Have Trailriders on at the moment, nice tyre but I'll be going back to PR4's I think, for me I find my bike 'turns in' quicker. Horses for courses I suppose.

Always had tourance but GS LC came with anakee 3 which I find very noisy!
Bought some roadtec 01 which I am getting fitted in next few weeks. Will give my thoughts in due course

I have done 9000 miles on Trail Attack 2, they have been great and need replacing now.
The short list is Conti Trails again, better the devil you know, PR4's because they are popular and suffer the low mileage or Scorpions which Ive never seen on a GS but they do get good reviews.

You really should consider the Avon Trailrider......... best tyre I've had on my Hexhead (so far)

Scorpion Trail II are a fine tyre on the Hexhead.
