best way to fix my left heated drip thats shorted

best way to fix my left heated drip thats shorted i was thinking about just soldering the broken element up but i dont know if that will hold up to the heat

If you get solder to hold it will have no probs with the heat. I had to dig out some plumbers flux to get good adhesion.

Lasted another year then bit bullet and replaced it when it went again

did you buy new or second hand thanks

Solder it, place a strip of insulation tape over once you've checked it works and put a new grip over the top. Job done

iv solders it. it seams to be working fine just have to see how long it last

Sorry for late reply, bought new, fitted same time I had the clutch done
