Hi, I have got a 2007 12000-GS and have just bought a Zumo 550. From reading other threads it seems that I need a DIN plug to graft onto my Zumo power cable so that I can plug straight into the 'canbus' (whatever that is) by the headstock.

Can anyone confirm that the part I need is BAS-BA13 from Nippy Normans please?

Many thanks.

No.
BAS-BA13 is to plug in to the underseat accessory socket:

Take a look at this thread which tells you exactly what you need to know/do:

The socket is this one:

Available from BMW dealers for £8ish +VAT.

Bahnstormer have it in stock.
