In your opinions which tyres do you rate in the wet? Used the old Tourance and the Michelin Anakee 2 both are exelant in the wet (keeping a good pace :augie ) also in winter I mess about on the single track back lanes that get covered in shite/gravel/wet leaves and so on, so pure road tyres are out.
Thanks in advance.

When I had my R1100GS`s I found the Conti Trail Attack to be even better than the Pirelli MT90ST Scorpion which I`d raved about for years. :thumb2

I've got Anakee 2's on now which I like, but I'd say the Conti Trail Attacks I used before are at least as good in the wet and a little cheaper too.

I've used Avon Distanzia's on a few bike but have only just fitted them to the GS, seen shed loads of road bikes with them on too, astonishing as they are a dual tyre!!!

They do stick like the brown to the blanket though and provide some amount of trail use but in mud they will blind in second(s).

Lot's of guys are fitting them on tourers and loads of bike of all types had them at my local biker Cafe (H in Oxford).

Si, they are just as good as anything else unless you are Rossi:thumb

You'd be surprised at just what a good tyre a TKC is.

TKC's are great but wear out in short order if you are on asphalt all the time and have a heavy throttle wrist. Tourances (originals) have been fine as a winter/summer tire including the gravelly back roads and occasional snow.
