Beta testing?

Never had a major problem with any of my 4 1200GSs since 2005 and I put an average of about 10,000 miles a year on each one. All have had little niggles but always sorted out by my dealer with little fuss.

Some people spend more time worrying instead of riding, but I suspect those people would do the same in every aspect of their lives, it's just the way of the World :D

My 2012 Twin cam 1200 GS was the best overall BMW I have ever owned and more likely the best bike I've ever owned.

Sadly after taking it in for a service I was given a 2013 wc gs as a loner and foolishly swapped my TC for the WC.

Looking back, yes it was most probabley released 12mths to early, but most of the problems now appeared to be sorted.

I feel a little bitter toward BMW for being a BETA tester but at the end of the day it was my choice, but as a cash buyer I was not given the same amount of support as those that had purchased on finance or PCP.

I have just purchased a 2006 r1200st to run alongside my Stelvio, and to be honest it's a much nicer bike to ride than my WC was.

Some people prefer old technology, others new - the WC is nicer than my twin cam for a number of reasons and even though the twin cam was the best of the air/oil cooled GSes the WC is the better overall bike for me.
