Thinking about doing this with Motul
2015 build,.36k, oil regularly changed (some might say too regularly!) every six months
Anyone doing it, and how do you draw off the sample?
Or is it all unnecessary?

There are different levels of test so you really need to know what you’re looking at/for.

If you go for a basic test then you’ll get a Red, Amber or Green result, if you want more than that you’ll go down a rabbit hole.

I’d suggest that if the engines been looked after and running OK then you’re wasting money.

I used these after an accident and the bike was running on it's side for a while and the oil light was coming on when hot at idle - not seen before the accident.

I’d say it’s more overkill. Unless you have a specific reason to say some event like known starvation or contamination. I’d say you’re better off doing a compression test. JJH
