Well, the fact that it's designed to run with 55w bulbs has to be a starting point....

No - not necessarily. It is FITTED with 55w bulbs because that's what the UK Construction & Use Regs require. Other countries may legally allow 100w or even 130w, so the hardware MAY, just MAY be able to safely cope with more.

Confused!

Is the headlight on a GS actually fused? I can't seem to find one!!!

OK... Result of using 100w bulbs....

My last post re these bulbs was on 23/01/2003 sine then I have had to replace the headlight buld three times!!!

The 1st time it lasted 2 days and I thought maybe a faulty bulb!

The second one lasted a week! Ok second chance..

The third poped its cloggs on the way home from work this morning! Bastard!!!

Expensive lighting arrangements have now ceased!

Main beam however is still going strong. (Now I've said it!!!)

Just ordered two phillips vision plus and I'll see how they go..

Check out THESE guys for PIAA bulbs and other toys although based in the US the service is excellent.
