We get this issue coming up on all the bike forums. The fact is, what suits one rider doesn't always help another. The stock screen is always a compromise.
Obviously one can fit the veritable barn door of a screen & sit behind in a quiet bubble pressed forward by a back-draught, but load the bike with luggage & your pillion will likely be the one doing the complaining. Hit wet weather on a dark night & you will be cursing every headlight coming towards you, what with the rain on the screen & your inability to keep your visor clear inside or out. Similarly strong winds will snatch at the steering more readily.
My message, for what it's worth, is to experiment when riding, to see precisely what is causing you a problem. Don't always blame the screen first. Sometimes it's turbulent air created by mirrors or the aerodynamics of the nose of the bike & something like winglets may solve the issue. Other times it's noise from helmet vents or draughty visors, maybe even your clothing choices creating drag.
