Had a great 150 mile blast yesterday, the Airhead seems to running the best it ever has and able to maintain a cracking pace with little effort.

Today it was treated to some TLC and a bimble around the back lanes

It was a cracking "airhead day" yesterday, did something similar with my new to me g/s.

Great pics, looks like a nice part of the world

That just looks so good, bare minimum, cycle parts, propulsion, fuel tank seat and some lights. You just don't need anything more.

Have you ever weighed it with a full tank?

Not with this tank, but with the smaller 19L it seem to remember it was 205Kg fuelled.

The only thing Id change on this bike is the front disc, it's not up to much as it's designed to stop a 120kg dirt bike!

The thing that amazes me about it is the way it will pull an easy 80mph yet you feel like it's only doing 60 - and that's a true 80 :-)

It's sweet spot is right where you want it to be for making progress on today's roads

That's the one JB couldn't ride fast hence no need to upgrade the stoppers and sold for an easier bike to ride..... 5....4....3....2....1..... :D

When I brought it from JB it was also suffering from oil ingress to the rear drum, that plus the brake lever not being in the ideal position meant it had it's stopping issues.

Bernie Wright fixed the rear drum, and Richie Moore modded the lever and now it gets used a lot - that's the other nice thing about this bike, the controls are all in the right place. The new high rise fat bars are one of the reasons for that.

Good photos Wreford, especially like the oil seed rape tank and sky blue frame.

Third one Ayot St. Lawrence? Fourth, Waterend near brocket Hall?

Cracking bike by the way.

finally bike season again

this moorespeed engine going better than ever too

now bedded in and torque curve felling ripe

riding it like an enduro on a 32/10 ratio is not a problem, just likes a sustained pace
