I've been fortunate to have owned and loved quite a few 'classic bikes' over the years

Thought I'd share some pictures of them........sadly they are all gone now

There have been others :DD

Some belters there...Kwak triples especially, love the 175 trail. I desperately wanted an XL125 as my first bike back in 1983...(ended up with a CB100n...in brown...🥹)

Didn't you have a rather magnificent bike cave back when you were living in Bouth IIRC? Something about the size of a small house.

Indeed I did, TBH the garage or 'Rev Shed' as it became known was one of the main reasons that I bought the house

How do you remember that fact ?
HaHa ......... weird isn't, but I really have no idea. It can only be from my days on the V1K forum, checking out the regular daily banter.

I had a reasonable double garage at the time, but with a classic car taking up 50%, so 4 bikes was a squeeze. Too tight for comfort. One Xmas my FiL, then about 85 came to stay. Left unattended, he swung a leg over my CBR1000F for some unknown reason & toppled straight over taking out 2 others, including my lovely Ducati MHR. SWMBO jumped to his aid, whilst I just about managed to seethe quietly, the silly old goat.

Oh no....I can imagine you would have slightly miffed

Would you believe I'm still on the V1K forum

Another one here not to proud to admit ownership of a CB100N….in brown.
Tasteful additions included a white Rickman topbox and handlebar muffs.
It pretty much ran a total loss oil system too 😳😂

some beauties (aint they all !) but id have to have the kdx200 the brown 400 and the beautiful Bridgestone what a lovely looking bike.

I rode a friends kdx back in the old days and what a brilliant bike it was. at the time I was into my XR 600 Hondas so I never got one. recently ive been looking to scratch that itch about 35 years later :ROFLMAO: there's not many about......

do you have any classic bikes at the moment ?

That KDX was a hoot to ride, they are actually very quick bikes, it had an extended swing arm (Husqvarna) plus a few other mods and had been raced competitively (not by me)

I don't have any classics these days, just a 'little' BMW road bike

Did someone mention triples, well heres my “lil one” massive intake roar from the 120 degree crank. Redline it in every gear upto 5 th , look at the speedo 65/70 🤣🤣🤣

Steve, that's a stunner, how long have you owned it...they are such great fun to ride, but generally for short distances, although I know guys who use them extensively

I owned it from Oct 16 until 2020.Paid top money £6k It was a peach, 1977 rebuilt when the 250 cc learner laws made 250cc worthless. New rims £16 , side panels £24 pair , new tank all NOS. I joined the Kawasaki triples club led by the guy from Kawatripleparts in Wheelton. There was a very strong tiddler section with owners of 250/350& 400. The brave 400/500/750 boys like yours had there own club.

It was 100% reliable, never let me down , could easily fill two lanes of a dual carriageway with smoke after a winter sleep, really torqey more like a four stroke. Probably the bike I most regret selling.
