2610, Betty has stopped talking, tried a new speaker, still nothing.

Garmin suggested reloading the voice from the Setup disc, but I'm stupid and can't seem to find it

Anyone else had this problem?, I might have to return the unit to Garmin, if I can't find the fault.

Garmin service top notch, sent a new speaker and power supply to try first.

Gary.

Stupid!!

Hi Greg,

Know I'm Stupid, but have tried that and checked details in the menu.

Enjoy the Tour, sorry I couldn't make it this year, but I would be last to get ready, don't want to hold you all down!!

Gary.

Just another probably already tried idea - have you tried the car lead / speaker or if that's what is the problem, a set of music earphones.

Possible solution

This might sound daft but if the power lead is not slid all the way across, the first thing that goes is the sound. It has happened a couple of times in the car and I always check that its slid all the way home which has always remedied the problem to date.

hope it helps.
