Bevel Box Input Shaft Needle Roller - Removal

Ok, I give up, how the heck do you remove it?

I've got everything else out, tried heating the snot out of the casing. Is it supposed to magically drop out or is there some special gizmo to remove it? I'm buggered if I'm going to spring for the special BMW tools.

Ideas?

Just do a search on here Steptoe has posted some good advice re this.
