Bevel Box oil change - not done at service

Complain to BMW.I had a issue with Williams Manchester and they offer me £100.00 as a goodwill gesture off the next service or accessories to the value of. Now have a new pair of gloves.....

I personally wouldn't trust a BMW dealership to find their own arse with both hands, let alone service a BMW according to manufactures instructions, let alone "best practice"

Find yourself a good independent and get a proper job done for less money.

I've checked - mine was done at 6000 (by another dealer) so wasn't needed at 12000

So actually kudos to coopers for not doing it again!

imo should be changed every 6000 anyway

I agree, it's a pretty quick job and it's cheap to do.

By the way, on a different note - what grease are people putting on the backing plates of disc pads? Copperslip or waterproof white grease? I think my dealer uses the latter

Nothing. Stopped doing it years ago. AFAIK it was about preventing squeal, damping pad movement.
