Today I removed the R1100 bevel box I fitted to my R1150GS to do a bit of work. I had in stock a new input seal and output bearing and seal as the input seal was weeping last time I looked.
After consulting Steptoes write on ADVrider I made up a few tools to dismantle the BB a socket to remove the seal ring. Thats a Land Rover Discovery wheel nut on the top.

and a mount to hold the BB while working on it

A bit of heat and force and everything came apart as it should. Cleaning up around the input I noticed something that shouldn't have been there. The spring from the seal was caught behind the spacer and had worn a ring onto the face of the input shaft. The shiney ring just on the edge of the shaft.

I am hoping that this is because someone has replaced the seal in the past and it went wrong. This would explain the weeping seal as well.
I also replaced the broken rear spoke and adjusted it till it peeled like the other ones.
Tomorrow after SWMBO has gonbe to work I will bake the new output bearing and fit that. Fingers crossed all goes well and I get the WP rear shock fitted too. I will have to ride the bike till the tank is low before I fit the front WP
