bevel drive problems! im of the road till this is fixed

can anyone help? I need to take the four noched nut that the driveshaft attaches to on the bevel drive out so I can do a bit of welding, I need a special tool to do this if you can help with this great but I need to know which way the thread goes on this nut it may be obvious but I dont want to get it wrong under heavy torque, thanks I may have put this in the wrong place sorry

you need a special tool and a good blowtorch

As far as I recall it is a normal but very fine thread....can crack if over tightened !!!

ahh thank you both ill get a mate to make a tool , wont I destroy the seal behind it if heat is appied

yes you will but is a good opportunity to change it
