After the fun I had with my throttle cables etc, I refitted my petrol tank to the bike.

In the process of moving the tank forward into the front mounting lugs, I snagged the throttle cable and brake (ABS) pipe. Not realising this, I was rather confused when the bike revved its nuts off when turning left as the bars caused the throttle cable to tighten.

So, watch when refitting the tank that you correctly route the cable & pipe - they are linked together with a plastic clip which itself clips onto another plastic clip which should keep them all in place but doesnt.

Cheers!

Andy

How terribly clumsy of you, good sir.
I would have thought a man of your experience beyond such errors.
Mind you, I have done the same thing on earlier motorcycles in earlier days, so I am particularly careful to not repeat that particular error nowadays.
That said, I still don't plan ahead, and find myself wanting to remove the tank immediately after filling up.
20Kg or thereabouts can be quite a handful.
I do have the capacity to learn, I just know where I put it.
