Big Flea bay problem HELP Please

I think that you're in deep kak.

You can neither delete or amend your posting. Even the £1k reserve doesn't apply because you only altered the text, not actually loaded the reserve price into the eBay system.

You could try sending a message to all the bidders and explain the situation and tell them not to bid again. That won't help you with last minute bidders though.

Nowt you can do now.....................you're fecked

Just sit it out and email the winning bidder and hope that he's amenable...............if not he may hold you to it and you'll have back out of the bike shop sale ......................or buy another similar bike to sell to either of your 2 buyers:augie

We'll have fun watching this

Could a friend overbid any other seller and then you cancel the sale? I guess ebay would want its pound of flesh, and this probably isn't ethical, but if it works :augie

Item no 220518760385 is mine, but I have sold it thriough local Bike shop but I cannot edit it cos only less than 12 hours to go. please phone me or I'll call you to talk me through it

go to the site map, 3/4 of the way down the middle list is a heading End Your Listing, just click on that and follow the instructions.

What to do.

go to the site map, 3/4 of the way down the middle list is a heading End Your Listing, just click on that and follow the instructions.
The above is the correct course of action, but I suggest that, before you end the listing, send an email via ebay to each of the bidders apologising and telling them of your error, and explaining that you may or may not be relisting the item with amendments to correct the errors.
I have been in this situation, and this was my course of action.

My thoughts too. Easy Option. Or get your mate to bid up to your minimum ideal sale price and if it goes above that amount by a genuine bidder all will be fine.

'cept he's already sold it, no?

Guys:

You can't end a listing less than 12 hours before the end of the listing if the item has a winning bid

You can't add to or change the item description

Rob will have to pay the seller's fee on the hammer price....

....but gets positive feedback and a salutary lesson in the working of e-bay that he won't forget.

It's that or swallow the negative feedback the winner may give if they're not the understanding type...

I've done the same and have been lucky to have had the 'understanding' type :) as I have no mates. :(

I see that Rob has now cancelled most of the bids. He'd better hope that there isn't a mad flurry of bids in the last minute of the auction!

Greg

Looks like the mad flurry has started early:confused:

Reading the rules before he started would have helped

It may sell for more than the local bike shop has agreed to buy at...............either way it'll end in:tears one way or the other

Funny how the engine mysteriously seized this morning.......................was it instant, even without starting the engine:augie;)

Whilst the seized engine might have slowed the bike :augie it doesn't appear to have slowed the bidding!

:blast

Greg

28 Bids........................Bargain @ £721:augie:D

Seized engine would be a cheap fix;)

GG must be stressed ...........................he's sent me 5 abusive emails via Ebay:eek::mmmm:mmmm:mmmm:mmmm:mmmm
