My well thought out plan was finally successful last Friday.

I was after a new jacket a couple of months back and spotted a Rukka Armax at a good discount (as they are discontinued) from Infinity in Farnborough. With several hundred quid off, it was a really decent price. Knowing that some of these jackets had a problem with the black fading to pinkish brown in the bright sunlight, I asked the Rukka rep on site what would happen if it did so.

"Oh, we'll replace it with a new one - we can't have our customers going around in pink jackets" was the response.

So, bought the jacket knowing if it didn't fade I had a cracking jacket at a great price. Then I went to sunny Spain whereupon the jacket did start to fade after not many days in the sun.

On my return I dropped back into Infinity and they took the jacket back to send to Rukka and gave me a loan one. A couple of weeks later a brand new Armas jacket (latest top of the range model) was provided - no arguments.

Now that's what I call customer service. Bloody excellent. I was so impressed I bought a pair of matching Armas trousers and some Rukka lobster gloves there & then. Top marks to Rukka, and the team at Infinity Farnborough were exceptional.

Oh, and the Armas kit is superb. Absolutely excellent. And the lobster gloves are very nice indeed, toasty warm.

Sounds like a big +++ for customer services for kit that is sub-standard.

If they can't make a colour that lasts in sunlight  what else is too difficult for them?
