Big Gesture Time

While we are auctioning stuff I'll bung in some Green Leopard custom earplugs to the highest bidder.

Two sets of solid custom plugs (RRP £55 per set) and one set Monitors (with speakers built in - RRP £110)

You must be prepared to come to Cambridge for a fitting (or wait until we are at a show - I'll be at the NEC both weekends) or be able to send me some ear impressions (which you can have done by a local audiologist)

CE approved and full 12 month guarantee still stands - ALL proceeds to Bert

David do you have a paypal acc so I can send a wee summit:thumb2

You can send me the money if you like but it would be better in Bert's hands! I'd only drink it...:o

The bank account is here:

Account Name Bertrand M Sargisson
Account number 04686691 First Direct Bank
Sort code 40-47-86

A bushcraft course sounds like something I'd like to do - I've no idea what to bid though? What would I usually expect to pay for this?

well the bushcraft courses i deliver range from £150 to £250 per person but if you bid anything i will honour it.

If we start the bid arround £50 each idealy we could fill the 6 places, if there is greater interest then the auction will offer the places to the highest bidders . Sound fair?????

The course outline:
Day 1 and day 2
Orientation. Woodland awareness.
Improvised shelters
Knife and Axe skills
Fire Lighting, Fire By Friction and flint and steel
Water purification
food, natures larder
navigation skills
Cooking skills
and many more little hints and tips

You will only need to bring a sleeping bag, appropraite clothing for the weather and a small amount of food: Pheasent/ rabbit and trout will be provided as main course along with learning in the preperation of such food.

Accomidation can be arranged in: Tipi's/ improvised shelters\ hammocks and tarps the choice is yours.
All specialist equipment will be provided.

I own an outdoor pursuits company but i dont intend to use this as advertising, rest assured you will have a great experience..

Can some one organise this auction ie list them all and put a closure date for the whole shebang. I would but i am away as of tommorrow running advanced bushcraft course till sunday so have no access to the site..whilst in the wilds......:gringo

Just to clarify this thread, we now have until the end of Monday 19th November to make sure Bert reaches the minimum required to make the trip viable. As of last Monday that was £1510. Bert will deduct all the donations that come in between Monday 12 + Monday 19 and then myself plus the following stout fellows will make up the difference:

Marjorie Proops
oblertone
Shep
Toad

If anyone else wants to help, then please let me know! Or if I have mis-read anyones intentions and you don't want to be part of the underwriters then please send me a PM!

Of course, if we can get Bert over the minimum he requires then all that happens is that he takes more medicines to Mali, and saves more kids. Simple.

That's what I like about this set up; there's no wasted money. You donate a pound and a pounds' worth of medicines gets to where they're needed.

OK- you can add me to the list of underwriters- plus I will still stand by the bid i have for earplugs as I am going fecking deaf

This is such a worthy cause I am sure the wife won't leave me. At the end at least I will have earplugs to deaden the bollocking I will receive:D

The Stoat. New here, but not new to a bollocking.

My mobile number is XXXXXso in case it looks like I am reneging someone call me if I miss a crucial post. I will be able to call my bank to arrange transfer while I'm away.

Ade (The Stoat)
