After posting a few times here with no bike,I finally collected my 1200 yesterday.
Bit apprehensive at first with her but after a couple of miles she is a dream to ride.
I took the salesmans advice and took it easy for a few miles and gave it some beans. What a lovely noise. The boxer coupled to a full remus system.Scrubing the tyres in today so maybe get some bigger grins later on.
All i can say is should have done it sooner.
Oh and i am only 38.
Came from a 1200 bandit and recently got shot of my harley v-rod.
Thanks for all the advice from you guys.
Oh and it is the fast yellow one with spoked wheels. :D :D :D :D

I just got my bike yesterday as well & just can't wait to get back out on it :bounce1

I'm doing my bit to bring the average age down a bit being a mere snip of a lad at 39 and three quarters. :D

My mate who has just bought a new ADV is a little boy of 28

Jon :)

That,s easy, I might have been born in 1960, but I,ve got a mental age of sweet sixteen (fizzies, fantics and superdreams :D :D )

Superdream, my first bike, rode it into a wall after only 30 seconds !

First Bike:
RD50MX - Micron Exhaust, S&B Air Filter, 130 Jet, Big Bore Kit and I think I changed one of the sprockets cos bloke said down the pub, which is important when you are 16!!!

:hapybnce:

Did the same on my Fantic GT and what with the addition of 'ace bars' nobody could touch me ;)

And another thing, how come sports mopeds didn't need special tools compared to modern day bikes? Every time I melted a piston all I needed to strip the top end was a lump hammer, a screw driver set I got in a christmas cracker and a chisel :D

FANTIC GT - Legend! my mate had one of those and ur right he always melted pistons.
Ur right about special tools I regularly took the carb to bits and changed pistons and cylinder heads now with my numpty strada I wouldnt know where to start!
I have enough difficulty removing and refitting the seat and thats with the key!!??
As for any mechanical work it looks far too complicated.

Well had enormous fun past couple of days.
Fantstic handling and whooped my mates ass on the twisties(he rides a gsxr1000).Also he has to fill up when i hit half a tank.
Only a couple of probs so far.
The alarm won't set itself no matter how much you fiddle with the blip.
The battery is knackered on the bike and the heat shield on my remus pipe fell off!!!
Apart from that very big grins.
Yes i am well pleased with my gs. :D :D
