Big Flipping-Liar more like.
I just used your ride report as the basis of 2 very enjoyable days around the Lakes and fan-frickinn-tastic it was too.
I can't understand why more people don't head up North, compared to the South of England there's nobody there...
yeah.. umm. come to think of it .. it's really boring and nothing to see at all.. worse than the A34 from the M4 to Oxford. The Swindon by pass is muuuuuuch better. Nothing to see here. Move on.:augie :nenau

Great! I hope you enjoyed the sunshine too if you`ve been up here these past few days :D

Being a bit serious...
Thanks for putting your route up. I really enjoyed myself, although I've never been in the Lakes in both good weather and "school holidays" as Ambleside & Windermere heaving with people. Best avoided really. Not much life outside them though.
I think you should have mentioned the pucker factor of descending either the ends of the hardknott or wrynose passes :eek
Cheers :thumb2

I've been up and down the struggle. A corking bit of road. My mate couldn't believe how steep it was....

Also the Wrynose pass, Buttertubs pass and the Hardknot pass, were particularly memorable.

All done last year, on my trusty ZZR600 Kwak. With missus onboard.
