Yeah but it’s not a winter price drop for Suzuki. At least people can stop moaning about KTM dropping prices over winter now, and at least with KTM it was sell-off from last years stock so by spring prices where back to normal, anyone with a used Suzuki is about to take a big & permenant kick in the nuts....
....But I think these prices look more realistic in the market right now.

I wonder how much has been triggered by Chinese bike prices and equipment levels. Quite a bit, I reckon.
Looking forward to BMW following suit.

PCP-slave muppets.except, BMW does not seem to be struggling to shift bikes if you look at their 2025 sales report
Not very many according to the sales bod in my local MotoraddPCP-slave muppets.
I wonder how many actually bought their bike rather than just rent it ?

Thought you had a Guzzi ? You bought a new BMW ?me
and the incoming press release from the BMW Finance Director, "meh."
That'll be Honda that only reduced the price of their bikes after the Chinese bikes came in. The Hornet SP would have been £14k+ otherwise. Again, this is just my guess, but Hondas have never been cheap and that Hornet is cheap. The GT too. Other manufacturers will be watching with interest to see if (especially) Suzuki sales go up. They were in the doldrums for years, so had to do something.not only Chinese bikes, Suzuki bikes have looked expensive against the latest crop of Hondas.

Yes but you were commenting on BMW sales in 2025 and I said I bet not many were bought . So you buying a new BMW a decade earlier is probably irrelevantmy R1200RS was bought outright in 2016. Also bought the Guzzi outright last year by part exing the R1200RS
I also bought a S1000XR outright in 2018, but that was 2 years old. Sold in 2023.
I have bought a car on PCP, my little Audi A1 but paid the balloon so own it now. The balloon was two thirds of the car's value in 2021 thanks to the Covid thing inflating used car prices. Seems it is still worth around that balloon price now so I think I won that one.

I was talking to a Honda guy a couple of weeks ago, he did indeed say it was chinese pressure... As you say the Hondas look great value - just ordered a Hornet 750 for the Mrs, and it was way cheaper than the Suzuki 8S - but now they are on a par. The Honda has a 6 year warranty tho (and a seat height that the mrs likes), she tried the 8S but couldn't reach the floor as well as the hondanot only Chinese bikes, Suzuki bikes have looked expensive against the latest crop of Hondas.
I did a reviwew of the 8TT and made a point of saying I thought it was overpriced by about £1500 apparently Suzuki GB are a bit sensitive about their pricing and I think they were a bit miffed but its the truth.
I belive they had a lot of feedback on those retro bikes (havnt been selling too well) along the same lines
what's the downside to renting then? If the APR is low enough, strikes me it can be a good way to get somebody else to take the depreciation risk.PCP-slave muppets.
