bike campsites in france

Hi,

Am arriving in france, calais at 15.00 on 26 June and making my way south via reims, troyes, dijon,Lyon, am intending to do about 4 -8 hours riding in my first day, anyone know any good campsites along the way that i can reach in my frist stint from calais?
I have already seen theis site: http://motobotc.co.uk/images/titles/titfrench.jpg but there don't seem to be any campsites on my route on this page...

If you can wait a year..... my new biker cafe/bar/camp/relais will hopefully open around march next year. Somewere inbetween Etretat and Dieppe, along the coast. Am meeting a real estate agent tomorrow.... so hold on... keep the thought !!

Yes as far as I know but that would be the wrong side oa the country unless mistaken

The campsite is south of Noyant (5 miles or so I believe).
Noyant is in itself south of Le Mans, west of Angers, east of Tours,at the crossing of the N766 and the N767.

Most French towns and reasonable sized villages have "Municipal Campsites" which are usually fairly small, excellent clean facilities and within walking distance of the town/village centre (restaurants, cafes, bars etc.)

Best of all, they are very reasonably priced. Just look out for the "Camping Municipal" signs in any town.

Alternatively, if all you want is a bed for the night, you could try the Formule 1 chain of "hotels". Situated on every roundabout outside every major town!

Book ahead (web or phone) and you get a bed, use of toilet & shower and light breakfast if you want. Gets you on the road early without having to repack everything just for one night.

They show campsites. Just see where you think you want to end up at the end of a days riding and look for the little 'indian teepee/wigwam symbol'.

- 5 kms south of Noyant, between Le Mans, Samour and Tours.

- 22 kms north of the Loire river.

Prices: pre-erected 6 man 15 Euros

your tent 12 Euros

Toilets @ showers inc, bar and light snacks, nearest village (La Pellerine) is less than 1 km away, Hotel Bar @ Restuarnt at very good prices !

BMW dealer 45 mins away at Tours.
