I am going to Norway in 3 weeks or so. This is my first real long ride out. Although my bike is new and so far only done about 2500km i would like to make sure all is well for the ride.

Can somebody who has obviously been here there and everywhere(sure there are a few :D ) maybe give me a 10 point check or something to that effect to help me on my way. :thumb

Thanks :D

Common sense stuff really.

Although your bike`s mileage ( kilometreage ?? ) is low, check there`s enough meat in your tyres and brake pads for the return trip.

If not a full service,I`d at least put fresh oil in...and it`ll likely be service time when you get time.

There ain`t much else,really.....just go and enjoy :thumb

I`d definately consider a few spares though.....control cables and brake/clutch levers....a cable could snap, and if the bike fell over and broke a lever, then it would spoil your holiday.

Ensure yout toolkit is present and correct.

Puncture kit and/or Ultraseal.

Bulb kit.

Documents.

Maps/guide book/phrasebook.

Beer money and camera :P

As Always thanks for your help Tarka,

Think i will do an oil change and get a few of the repairables you mentioned :thumb
