Bike Collection Scotland

Hi,

I maybe the new owner of a F650 GS DAKAR soon but the bike is located in Forfar Scotland and i am in Bath Avon, well near it.

Anyone know a good collection service who could collect and deliver the bike to me.

Also in my continued hunt for a Dakar i have been offered at immaculate one but it is located and registered in Holland , any ideas on cost to ship bike back , registering in the UK etc or any other ideas

And before you all say
I cant ride the bikes yet as i have not passed my test , buying to give me an incentive , Theory next week then hopefully next couple of weeks practicall if all goes well

Not sure of the cost of bring a bike back from Holland - easiest way is to rent a van and stick it in the back I guess.

To register it here wil cost

£70 for the Certificate to confirm it meets UK as well as EU spec.
£55 1st registration fee at DVLA
£66 years road tax

You will also need the original EU Certificate of Conformity - if you don't get this with the bike expect to pay £55 for a replacment from BMW.

On top of that you will need a MPH speedo and most likely a UK spec headlight to meet the UK regs.
