My bike, a single spark 1150 gs with 32000 miles on the clock, has cut out (bogged down) on me a few times. It hasn't died completely but very near it. The engine loses power for a matter of a second or 2 and the temp gauge, which every time it has happened, has been sitting at 5 bars, drops to 1 bar or sometimes 0.The rest of the time it pulls fine & runs really well. I've bypassed the sidestand switch & put new plugs in. Any suggestions what it could be? Was thinking it could be the Hall Sensor but not sure if these just pack in & thats it or whether they break down slowly overtime? :nenau

Ignition switch wiring? Probably not the Hall Sensor, those tend to kill the bike, not bog it down.

Sussed it I think. The previous owner fitted a power commander & I found a loose connection in 1 of the multi plugs. Nice night so gonna take it for a run & see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
