Bike Insurance - Not happy!!

just paid my insurance for a 04 1150 gsa fully comp
bennetts £114-£300 excess
was initially quoted £143- £500 excess a quick phone call to bennetts and the very nice lady sorted it
AA quote £110 £300 excess
kwikfit £117 £500 excess
hastings £120 £400 excess
swinton £130 £400 excess
anyway it's paid

It's a Yorkshire thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt if your bike has a power commander and change of exhaust? This does seem to put insurers off. Just out of interested, why didn't you go for the AA quote?

Have to say I still cannot beat BMW Motorrad insurance for cost at the moment, this year still £20 cheaper than Bennett's (cheapest quote I could get) with full European cover etc. Actually run by Devitts who must have some deal with BMW UK because BMW quotes are cheaper than their direct website costings but as with all insurer's price changes each year depending on bike, age etc.

i have been with bennetts for over 6 years
prefer not to swop and truck
so i always get other quotes then ask what bennetts can do
they have always changed the initial quote

used to work for the AA so that's why they don't get my money

it's a yorkshire thing
