Would anyone be able to help me with an insurer who doesnt want to charge an arm and a leg to insure my bike while its away from home. I'm having an absolute bastard of a job finding someone who will charge a reasonable amount for this. I believe the problem stems from having what they call a dual address or postcode, although where the bike is stored is only a storage address not where i live. I've got 6 years no claims and was sort of expecting a reasonable quote, but sadly thats not the case.
Bike is an 800 GS Adventure (t)
P.S. I could just change my address to where the bike is stored, as the garage ( a proper brick or concrete garage by the way, aparently that makes a difference too) its in is owned by a member of my extended family, but I dont want to, as that would be fraudulent, which I would not be happy about.
Where the bike is kept is anywhere from 1 to 3 miles away from where i live, by the way, if it helps.
Any help appreciated , as pulling my hair out here. Not that I have much left now!!!!!!!
