Go to Nippy Normans and look at the Wunderlich bike mover ... not sure thats the official name, trolly thing !!! About £120 .. I don't have one but I understand they are very robust and do a good job. Hope this helps.
You need a Clarke's MCD1 Motorcycle Dolly. It's currently £84 from Machine Mart. And that'll be less 20% when they do one of their frequent promotions.
The whole bike rolls onto the dolly and there's also a piece with castors, on which to put your side stand. Once on, the bike'll move easily in all directions. The only requirement is a reasonably smooth garage floor. When you're not using it you can flip it on its side and lean it against a garage wall. Takes up hardly any space. Wouldn't/couldn't be without mine.

The Clarke bike mover has a deeply dished section in which to place the sidestand. To get rid of most of the lean on mine I've cut a piece of wood to fit into the "dish" and now my bank stands almost upright. I tend to move the bike on the dolly without the wood then once in position pop the wood under the stand. With a piece of wood you can tailor the thickness to suit your bike. Works well for me!
Depends how much space you have I guess.
The Clarke stores the bike on the side stand, so even when it's up against the garage wall the bike still leans a lot, taking up more space.
Constands keeps it upright, giving me more space. Less fiddling than pushing g the bike onto that ramp as well. Like I say, depends how much space you have to work with.
Constands look good, that's what I'm ordering.
1jac dont do a adapter kit for the lc GS
Bursig probably top of the range, but they ain't cheap!
I've just bought the abba stand.. Really nice stand and very well made.
Not tried it on the bike yet but when I do I'll add some pictures.
