I had my Ipod video mounted on my 1150 using a RAM mount and Aquabox fastened to the bars. Seemed fine at first but then after about 45-60 minutes it would crash. Tried a few things like wrapping bits of innertube round the bars to provide some shock absorbtion but it still periodically crashed.
I had the Ipod replaced after a couple of weeks but the same thing happened. Figured it must be a vibe thing.
Is there a way round it (I want the ipod on the bike and not in a tank bag, jacket etc so there's no trailing leads) or do I have to shell out for a solid state player?

or put it in your pocket.

not sure what you mean by trailing leads? i get off the bike, it all goes with me :nenau

If you're charging it from the bike I'd guess that the charger was what was causing the problem. Try using it without the charger plugged in and see if it still crashes.

David - It's not been charged while on the bike, ie the only lead conected to it is the audio out.

Cookie - It's connected to an autocom via an inline volume adjuster which is on the bars. I Like the inline adjuster so I can turn the volume down quickly and easily if I want to for whatever reason. This means I'd have a lead running from the bars to the Ipod if i have it in my pocket.
