Bike names

:agree

It's a machine FFS, it isn't responsible for anything :blast

:agree

Even so have you never found yourself after a long ride in the pissing rain or doing a ton ten saying things like come on baby not long or come on baby your nearly there? ........

Just me then? Oh...

errr

Describing an absence of anthropomorhic nonsense as "boring" is like complaining that there are no tits on page three of the Sunday Times....

It was my understanding that the term 'anthropomorphic' was the cogniant act of endearing human form or attributes to something non human.
Simply calling an inanimate object a name would therefore non technically qualify.

IMO

Nelly is an elephant. Neddy is a donkey.

You should load Nelly like an elephant. Loading Nelly like a donkey is not exploiting her full load carrying potential. Maybe you just need something smaller? Like a Rover or maybe even a Tiddles, instead?
I call Neddy the GS because my friend Eddy has one. I have a GSA and Nelly sounded sexier. Why can't I have a donkey called Nelly? :roll

Is it the same on a false Tank :nenau

if I do it on where the tank is when I'm riding my bike (Piuma, archibald, Howitzer, don juan, sparticus, 798) well it would look like Im doing a Tesco thing :blast

Every little helps :beerjug:

I no what u mean I have a vmax as well with the tank under the seat but I generally pat where the tank/ false tank is to make sure she knows she's been a good girl.... An always has to be a girl I mean who wants to ride a man bike? Unless thats ur thing of corse lol

whats in a name (a bunch of C's)

... An always has to be a girl I mean who wants to ride a man bike? Unless thats ur thing of corse lol

Well I get what you mean exactly but you do realise I ride a BMW F650 GS twin, I have to be carefull :D :D :D :beerjug:

I think its generaly a german name for the German bike and may have a bearing on the namers age and usualy more common to name it after something Heavy maybe the Guy's who dont want to make it male or female go for the german milatary vehicles names. I bet the top name for a 11 or 12 would be Panzer

Imagine a Triumph for example named a girl from the sixties (Born) most likely to be Lisa, Mary, or Susan compared to todays Grace, Ruby or olivia or an adventure triumph could be one of the bunch of C words :D as in: crusader, cromwell, churchill, centaur, comet, centurion, Conqueror, cheiftan and challenger. Then you realy could pat your Tank :augie

I supose I could be carefull and choose the German Name of : Frederica (interesting meaning).

naaa I'm sticking with my rugged military German superior Hard wear :augie F650GS (PUMA) :thumb

:beerjug:

PS: I tucked it in last night all cozy in the garage
