Well finally got all the jigsaw pieces together and with the help of the WWW and the people at the various companies I now have everything working powered from the bike. I have the Pro 7 sport Autocom,Zumo 550 and the Wintec A80 radio (supplied by Intaride)The web came in helpfull for the options to connect up the audio for the Zumo to Autocom and all seems to fade out and silence where it should if a Bluetooth call comes in.
I also got one of the power modules to power the radio which switches on when the engine is running as it senses a charging voltage, so it's connected direct to the battery and onto the battery eliminator , (again from Intaride). It's all tested in the garage well and going for the shake down run tomorrow before a decent run on Sunday where I don't want any problems. The wintec A80 is great as it's physical size is perfect for the whole system which I have mounted under the 1200 GS seat in the plastic tray.
The only point in the whole thing was the issue of whether the new cable to connect into the autocom and to the A80 radio was a special cable (as Autocom informed me so therefor £35 OR a normal cable and not a choice between 2 like Autocom said and is actually only £25 as Intaride say, either way I paid £35 as i couldn't exactly dispute over the phone what Autocom were telling me, main thing is everything works so I'm a hapy tattie

Do us not recommending the Wintec radios we do not keep an official stocked lead or leads to suit so we produce limited batches of the two leads. One lead to fit the early A80's or another for the later A80 LP4502-E which is the one we have quoted you for £35. The later lead contains an isolation block so if you were to bike power the Wintec you will not get any interference due to ground loops. So the lead will cost a little bit more than the std A80 leads.

As for Interide quoting £25 we have never sold the Wintec leads for that much.

Thanks for the reply Rich, it just got a bit confusing at the time when I was getting 2 different stories but I appreciate what you say. As I said in the post that I recieved good help from both companies and the main thing the whole system works fine, no offence was meant in the first post hope you didn't take any?
