I have just fitted an Autocom SPA with a Kenwood 3201 along with the PTT button on the handle bars, a mate who i ride with also has an Autocom unit not sure what model, he has a Motorola radio again with the PTT button, We have reprogramed the channels and we have match channels 1-8, these work fine using the radios not through the Autocoms, but when radios are going through the Autocoms my mate recieves my transmissions but i am not getting nothing from his radio, i know when hes pressing the PTT button as i hear a Hishing noise but no voice. He also has his phone bluetoothed to the Autocom and that works fine, so that eliminates the mic not working  Anyone got any ideas what this could be????

try one bike as if you were riding and then use a radio as a hand held. this will show up on if there are any transmission issues. do the same on both bikes to see what happens

My mate has just spoken to me to say that it was his fault, he has just bought a new lid and when fitting the head set in he didnt plug the mic lead in correclty and it must have come apart :blast :augie:augie he realised on his way home that the VOX wasnt activating when he was blowing into the mic.

Thanks Rich for your promt reply :thumb
