I couldn't be doing with the faffing about of taking it apart and putting it back together all the time

Hitch and go........................that's the way forward:thumb

But some of us drive with the trailer stowed away in the boot to pick up a bike to bring back.

Or drive to somewhere with the bike on the trailer then pack the trailer into the boot of the car and leave it parked for a few days while you have a ride around - much simpler to park a car in a hotel/camp site without a trailer attached, and safer too. ;)

Valid comments.........................I used to have a fold-away trailer, but hardly used it because it took 15-20 mins to put together and had to be removed from garage loft too......................put me right off:blast

However, I still like the idea of 'hitch and go' - gets far more use and the one in my earlier post is a storming trailer:thumb2

If we were all being sensible a van is the best and easiest option.

And a cheap van can be bought cheaper than a twin bikelug :D

just aquired a bikelug trailer from seatownmaster of this parish so i will be in the garage saterday to see how it goes together:nenau

you have to post pics when you put it together and your not allowed to use instructions:D cant wait for this:augie

There is this option which apparently takes an Aprilia Mille

Then you don't have to worry about trailer speed limits

Although your headlights may need some adjustment:)

But most tow-bars won't!!!!

Greg

I looked at one of these for carrying a trail bike - XR250 approx 120 kg - once you factored in the weight of this and a reasonable sized bike (one you could simply lift into place) I couldnt find anything with a nose weight to legally carry the pair - talking to the main dealer once, the suggestion was just do it and dont worry about the legals...

I think you're looking at something with a nose weight of around 200-220 kg is there anything out there rated for that kind of tow capacity?

piece of cake! just make sure you get the wheels pointing the right way.

I've used this setup for years without a problem...
