Bike won't start?

After jump starting my bike without any problems I assumed that my battery was goosed. Only got around to getting a new battery today. Went to tim molloys. Hey checked the old one foe me and confirmed my suspicions. Bought a new battery for 65 quid. Fitted it. Bike still won't start! Sounded like it was gonna start with an attempt to turn over tha engine but then it just went back to that clicking sound again. Was hoping to get te last four photo points done tomorrow.. Might have to bite the bullet and bring it into a mechanic.

Was told that it was but I'll plug it in tomorrow and see if that helps.

The jump starting proved that all is ok except the battery, so stick with it. Trickle charger will take 24hrs or so to fully charge. Or jump start, take bike for a good spin, 50 miles. Have you good charger? I left a bmw trickle charger in my mum's, you can have it if need? You can leave it on that at night until you are fully sure it is solved.

Went out to the bike this morning and tried it. Started first time. Took it for a 100km spin so hopefully will be charged up nicely now. Thanks everyone for all the advice and help. Niall

Good to see you got it sorted man. Mine wouldn't start the other morning the alarm drained the batt. Have it on charge since last night so going o leave it until tonight after reading thse post to give it the full 24 hrs.
